An iPad for KC to let him communicate with others

Organized by Angel Voices (for KCs iPad)

WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited! A kind donation last night put us at our goal. We will be able to move forward with all the plans and get Kase up and chatting.

We will never be able to explain to everyone what your generosity and kindness has meant to us.

Please stay tuned for a website, FB page and a blog all about KC's progress AND breaking news about the newly formed Angel Voices Foundation.

We are so excited to be launching a site to help many people communicate with the world.

Again, our most heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you that helped us reach our goal.

Much love,
Suz and family
Good Monday morning
It was cold this morning in Boise, Idaho and it made me think about those less fortunate than others (being cold) and how we must make the extra effort to try to make someone's life a little easier in any way we can.

It may be giving a blanket or a coat to a shelter. It may be volunteering at the mission and serving lunch to visitors, or it may be just sharing one of god's greatest gifts - a smile. The last one is totally free and makes you feel so good to give away!

Children (or anyone) should never have to go to sleep cold or hungry or need something to help them get ahead in life. If you can do anything to help someone out, please find it in your heart to extend your hand.

I guarantee you'll feel like a million bucks and you will have made someone's day so much brighter.

Thank you to everyone who has given freely to KC's fund raiser. You are very, very kind.

Only $110 to go!
I am so thankful and touched at the outpouring for KC's iPad cause.

Some people who have donated I've know my whole life, some are school friends, some are friends of my children, some friends I've been blessed to gain along the way and some my family have never met.

It gives you the "warm fuzzy" feeling inside when a totally selfless act is bestowed upon you and your family such as the acts that have occured since we started this fundraiser.

I know I've thanked everyone on every post, but I can't say enough about the wonderful people out there who wish to help KC "get his voice heard." (His mom may decide down the road that he was much quieter before this! lol) It is because of kind folks such as yourselves that the foundation will be able to help children and adults be more involved in their own lives and be more independent.

I can't wait to see where this all goes.

Sincerely - my most heart-felt thank you to all.

Suz and family

We're almost 75%!
I can believe the outpouring of kind donations for KC.
We're blazing along with all the final touches and just waiting to purchase the software and get the brackets built for his wheel chair to hold the iPad in place.

So when we hit the $540 mark we'll be able to purchase the software, and at $600 we can have the guys build the brackets and he will be all set! This is so exciting!

Thank you all again (can I ever thank you enough?) for your donations and for those of you who are considering a donation - KC, his family and his teachers will be so thankful for the opportunity to have him be able to "talk" like the rest of his class.

You are truly angels on earth for helping give him this ability. Thank you so much

Sorry I've been not posting
Sorry I've been missing off the grid for a while. Lots of irons in the fire!

As mentioned in the last post, the iPad arrived. Had some issues, but on of the wonderful folks that donated some items was able to do some magic and now the iPad works beautifully. Thanks Don and all those involved. We are forever in debt to you!

The rest of the donation pool will go to purchase the software and build the device that will mount onto KCs wheelchair and allow him instant access to his new voice.

Please help us out if you can. Any amount helps, and bless you for your love and support!

Suz and family!
Happy Monday! What a difference a week makes
The cause is a week old now and we've raised $360!

Everyone that has been involved - thank you so much!

Expecting big things to start happening when the iPad arrives. It will seem like it's really going to materialize!

Very excited.

Please pass this link on to other if you like. We will truly appreciate any and all help!

Please have an awesome week! Thank you all again.

It's Sunday!
Good morning everyone. The sunrise was amazing this morning on my way into work - just proves every day is it's own unique set of miracles.

Once again I want to thank everyone who has gotten involved in KC's cause - it appears that between the FB postings, forwarded emails and blogs out there that the word has reached the whole western part of the U.S.! I could not be more amazed and appreciative.

I met a wonderful guy on Friday that dropped by some iPad accessories that we need. His wife passed on an email she'd received and he jumped into action getting us the items we lacked. I always viewed Boise as a "big city" - well compared to where I'm from it IS, but I thought it was too big to really care much about one family's needs...well I'm here to tell you that it is 180 degrees the opposite. I have never met his wife (we email back and forth through work) or him, but they opened their hearts for a little guy they have never met either!
Wow - Thank you Don and Lori!

I want to personally thank Dave, Barb and William - you folks started this cause rolling and have pushed it over the half way mark - William, I'll never be able to thank you enough for all you have done for Kase.

And thank you everyone that has given so generously to the fundraiser - I'm surprised that most of you want to remain nameless - so I'll generically thank you.

We'll keep you posted on progress with the fundraising AND when we get the iPad to KC. I plan on posting a video when he is getting on with it - I can't wait to share that with all who made it possible.

Have a wonderful Sunday - bless you all!

Suz & family
Good morning - it's Friday!
I want to start your Friday with a heartfelt thank you to all of the incredibly generous folks I've come in contact with this week.

I'm not surprised at the kindness that has been shown in this pledge to get Kase "talkin", as we are surrounded by amazing people. Friends, co-workers, relatives, acquaintances and people we've never even met. Thank you all.

Please join me in reposting the link to this site on your favorite social media and emails. Together, we will not only outfit KC with the proper equipment, but it will be an amazing start to the Angel Voices Foundation.

All funds and equipment not used in our original fundraiser will go to enable other differently-abled children and adults to also have a voice.

I'm working on obtaining the non-profit status as we speak - wow, what a task - but it will be totally worth it.

Again, thank you all and happy weekend!

Day 4
Wow what a whirlwind this venture has been!

I have met (chatted via email) so many amazing, kind people.

Thank you for all the great ideas, resources, ideas, and contributions.

I'm overwhelmed by the posting, reposting, "giving up a latte", blogging and generally talking about this quest.

I'm working hard on establishing the "foundation" portion of this experience. It's going very smoothly. Perhaps it's a sign!

Thank you everyone - will keep you posted.
